Mash daal |
Whenever you like to eat something different must try mash daal in my style. I love daal mash with kabab, raita, salad and roti. Its taste is yummy. Oh my God! my mouth is watering. Today I made it in lunch and believe me nothing were left behind. Children will also like it.
Sometimes people become confused what is daal mash? How its look like? So answer is simple it is white in colour and its english name is black lentils. In India and other Countries, people called it Urad daal as well.
HEALTH BENEFITS OF MASH DAAL:
If we are talking about health benefits, it is full of nutritious. It has rich source of protein, potassium, magnessium and vitamins. It is good for heart and also good for skin. It is good for diabetes as well.
If you have gastric issue than must add ginger in it because it is little bit heavy and undigestible. Now come to the recipe step by step. Follow my recipe and enjoy dhabba style mash daal at your home.
INGREDIENTS:
Mash daal: 250gm
Onion: 2 medium
Whole red chilli= 3-4
Curry leaves: 6-7 leaves
Tomato: 2 medium
Red chilli flakes: 1tsp
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp
Turmeric: 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds: 1/ tsp
Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Garam masala: 1tsp
Coriander leaves 🍃
Sliced ginger : 1/2 piece
Green chilli: 2-3
Salt: as required
Oil: 2 tbsp
RECIPE:
● First of all take mash daal. wash it and soak for 1 to 2 hours.
● After that take a pan add mash daal and water and turn on the flame.
●Add red chilli flakes and ginger garlic paste in it and cover the lid tightly. Leave it for 10 to 15 min for cook on medium flame.
● In the mean time, take another pan add oil then add cumin seeds, curry leaves and whole red chilli for baghar.
● Then add sliced onion in it. Fry the onion until it change its colour and turn into light brown.
● Then add spices (red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, Garam masala powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and cumin powder) mix well.
● Then add chopped tomatoes and leave it for cook when the tomatoes become soft stir the spoon continously for 5 mins when it become in a paste form then add chopped green chilli on top.
● Add all the paste in mash daal and mix it after that add sliced ginger and coriander leaves while serving.
● So yummy mash daal is ready to eat. Serve it with roti or naan and raita. Enjoy this healthy meal and stay healthy.
