It was said, “Healthy living is the only way to enjoy your life”. While I agree with this statement, how can we live a healthy way? In our daily lives, it becomes hard sometimes to manage some health issues that might affect our overall well-being. Let us learn more on ways to keep ourselves safe and happy. There are 6 steps to keep your body fit and strong.

1. Drink Water before You Go to bed:

Water contains minerals, electrolytes, sugars, and protein that help in strengthening bones and muscles. If you are not drinking water at least 30 minutes before going to bed, then you can get muscle cramps and also get dehydration in the morning.

2. Always drink your milk or juice in full before swallowing:

It is very important to drink liquids to maintain hydration as it helps in maintaining good circulation of blood in the body. Milk/juice should be consumed after meals, but you can enjoy it throughout the day at any time of the day. The best way for enjoying your milk/juices throughout the day, without harming other food items, is by having it in a glass bowl next to your mouth.

3. Eat Plenty of greens:

You should make sure that you have enough vegetables and fruits in your diet. These foods include leafy greens like spinach, kale, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, leeks and collard greens. Some foods rich in nutrients are spinach, leeks, carrots, cabbage and even broccoli. This would help boost your immunity. Also, these foods keep your blood pressure normal.

4. Get plenty of sleep:

You need to schedule your sleep habit every night. Do not go to bed without 8 hours of sleep. Try to avoid late dinner. There are times when you are tired just before going to work, so it is better to sleep early. Remember to avoid late and late naps. You will feel sleepy during class or while taking exam. If you stay awake late in the evening and cannot go to bed early enough, then you definitely can get muscular cramp. Make the most out of your nap instead; try to listen to the songs to calm yourself down.

5. Include fresh air into your life:

You should spend at least 15 minutes per day in the garden or near the nearest park. Spending time outdoors releases oxygen and improves your breath. So, when you are surrounded with nature, your energy levels too improve. Not just the physical aspects, you can also watch beautiful birds in the sky. Breathe fresh air and clear your mind of all negative thoughts.

6. Don't skip out on exercise:

Just because you are busy in the office, doesn’t mean that you cannot work out. Walking around the house and making extra efforts every once in a while will always pay off when your fitness level improves. Exercising like a professional athlete with proper nutrition and exercise will help you become a healthier person and increase your longevity.
